Exterior Condition
Per the Summary Catalogue, Vol. 2, part 1, p. 576 and the Bodleian catalog: "Red plush on early boards, attached is a repoussé silver-gilt crucifix of inferior Greek 14th cent. workmanship, damaged, clasps and corner-pieces wanting."
Interior Condition
Both parchment and text are in very good condition.

Book title written on the top, outside, and bottom edge. Top: το αγιον; outside: και θειον και ιερον; bottom: ευαγγελιον.

Shelf marks and S.C. number. Latin note about the provenance of the MS. Codex originally belonged to the monastery τῆς παναγίας τῆς ἀχειροποιήτης → the Patriarch of Constantinople → Heneagio Finch → Edward Hyde. Note is dated to 1661.

Folia are well preserved. Towards the end of the codex, the quality of folia degrades.
P. 643: subscription--τελος συν θεω του αγιου ευαγγελιου--preceded by a small decorative piece in red.
P. 645, later hand: μνήσθητι κυριε τῶν ψυχῶν τῶν δούλων σου θεοῦ γεοργιου | καὶ τῆς δουλης σου, | καὶ νικολάου δανιήλ καὶ σουλτάνης σμαράγδας παρα | σκευα᾽ ἀνδρέου καὶ εἰρήνης καὶ ἀνγγελινου ἰωαννου.
DECORATION:
Use of red and black ink both for text and ektheses. The ektheses vary in style.
HANDWRITING:
Consistent handwriting, the work of one scribe, beautifully executed.
