Alpha Test Communication
I thought it'd be nice to keep a running log of the changes I make to the website thanks to your suggestions. I will try to keep this page current.
Thank you for your time!

SSL Certificate IssueOne person has reported that they get a "this website is unsecure" warning. This should happen anytime you access a website that has an expired SSL certificate, OR when accessing a website at "http" instead of "https." Neither of these seems to be the issue for the user, so I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I cannot duplicate the issue - I get an encrypted connection no matter how I access the website.

Bug: "Historical Document" Images Out of OrderI've just noticed that the images for a "Historical Document" are not ordered. For now, pretend that they're in order for testing purposes ;-)

First item uploaded to "Historical Documents"I've uploaded the first non-manuscript item to the "Historical Documents" section of the website. This section is different because it also has a PDF viewer. Some items will be available as only PDF, only images, or both. The term "Historical Document" is the stand-in term I've been using but it is not intended to be the actual name. I am happy to take suggestions for what we can call this section of the website. It is for various kinds of non-manuscrips such as correspondences, unpublished drafts, annotated works, and many other items and papers from the personal libraries of scholars.

Added a reply feature to User FeedbackI decided to quick implement a messaging system. You'll now see that I may have responded to some of your feedback messages. If I have, you should see a "New Messages" notification. Even better, we can carry on a discussion on your initial feedback. I wanted to do this because some suggestions I can jump on and begin implementing right away, but others are very good but require more work and I wanted to let you know that I valued the feedback and intend to implement it. I also removed the bug report form because it seems unnecessarily complicated when you all have been so effective with the simpler feedback form.

Add expand view left featureBy request, I've added a button to the browsing page (/manuscripts) that expands the viewer so that it fills the full width of the page without going all the way to full screen.
-
Move "Close Viewer" Button (again)This time I moved it to the bottom left, where it does not appear to me to be in the way of anything. I also set it so that only the "X" is visible on a narrow screen (mobile).

Add Alpha Test Updates PageDuring alpha testing, updates in response to user feedback will logged here.

Make "Fullscreen" button more obviousHighlighted the button that sets the viewer to full screen on the browsing page (/manuscripts). This is to visually differentiate it from the button that makes an image take the full size of the viewer, but not the screen.

Move "Close Viewer" ButtonSeveral of you noticed that, when logged in, the "Close Viewer" button on a Manuscript's home page overlapped with the logged-in user's username. I also noticed that it was worse on a mobile device. I've moved it down and centered it some, but this might be worse. I'm still working on this one.
